Did you see our shoe-box floats at the parade?
They tell the greatest story in the world that comes from God’s book the Bible.
Ms. Patti McDonald wrote a book called,
The Gospel Parade, that inspired our shoe-box floats.

Mrs. Debbie tells the Story of the Beads – What do they mean?
Here are the floats in the Gospel Parade.
God promised long before Christ birth that He would send a Savior into the world, the Bible tells of God’s promise. “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel” Isaiah 7:14.
God kept His promise and sent His perfect Son Jesus. The heart represents His love for people, the gifts represent His gift of His Son. The red represents the blood He would shed. “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord” Luke 2:11.
The Bible says, “Jesus is the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.” At birth, He was laid in a manger (a lambs feeding dish) a symbol of God’s plan for Jesus to become the sacrifice for the punishment of your sin and mine. The dark heart reminds us that He died for the punishment of our sin and the red reminds us of the blood He gave. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” John 3:16.
Jesus is the sinless Son of God; He came back alive on the third day after they buried Him. He was laid in a tomb (it looked like a cave and they rolled a large stone over the door but on Sunday Morning, the stone rolled away. The white represents the forgiveness of sin; God can cleanse us from the punishment of sin and become a child of God because Jesus lives! “It is true! The Lord has risen…” Luke 24:34
Since Jesus lives, we can have new life in Him. He will forgive our sins and give us His Holy Spirit to help us live a life pleasing to God. Jesus loves you and invites you to become a child of God. “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God” John 1:12.
Jesus is the King of King, He lives in Heaven and one day, everyone in the world will bow down to Jesus. He can rule as the king (boss) of your life today if you invite Him in! He wants to bless you with His love, peace, joy, and goodness, won’t you let Him? “…the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers” Revelation 17:14.
All parades have bands. Our band plays a wonderful song called The Salvation Poem.
