Little Kids, Thanksgiving, and the Ten Lepers

Don’t you just love the change of season, fall, and all the awesome opportunities to share these experiences with preschoolers?

The story of the Ten Lepers is a wonderful story to teach the importance of giving thanks.

I will upload a demonstration video after our Nov 4 Zoom meeting. It will include songs and finger-plays. I will also include a teacher enrichment session and devotional on God’s faithfulness.

For right now, here is a simple craft idea. You can get busy with your little one or class in creating these greeting cards that your little one can share with family a friends. (Pardon my big ole hand! but why not make one with your hand too!)

Fold a paper in half and trace your child’s hand on the folded side. Then cut out the hand.
Make sure the hand is folded like in prayer!
Open the card up and now you can help the child write down things they are thankful for or they can draw pictures of items they’re thankful for!
Children are delighted when you open the card, they think it’s a butterfly! I tell them it’s our hands praising the Lord.

Coming soon… demonstration video on the story of the Ten Lepers for Preschool Children, Devotional and God’s Faithfulness, and tips on relationships with parents and teachers in a preschool setting.
