Teaching Little Kids How to Overcome Fear

October is a month that somewhat celebrated darkness, wickedness, and scary stuff. However, this is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate our Savior and our Father who said to His children time and time again, “Fear not!”

Little kids have LOTS of fears. We can use this month as an opportunity to teach songs, teach a memory verse and tell a Biblical story that addresses fears. Enjoy our preschool Bible lesson on Jesus calming the storm, teaching the memory verse, Hebrews 13:6, and singing songs that reinforce the lesson!

What causes our fears? Isn’t it the fear of the unknown? Why does God tell us to “fear not”? Because He is omniscient (all-knowing). Check out the devotional by Phil and Debbie on our all knowing Father.

Fear is just one of the many characteristics of preschool children. Check out Debbie’s teacher enrichment on the Characteristics of Preschool Children. Learn how you can teach your preschool child or children effectively, taking these characteristics into consideration.
